Drupal and jQuery give you an excellent start at building rich interactions, but there are some best practices to keep in mind. I recently launched a faster autocomplete search at api.drupal.org and am working on interactive features for redesigns of maplight.org and drupal.org. I'll demo working examples from these projects and explain how and why I am doing things that you can use in your next project.
